Amy is an Artist in Residence at the Utah Film Center, and has consulted for media companies and foundations.
She is in pre- production for the feature film 60’6”, and is in development for the feature Cowboys and Indians that will be shot in Queens and Southern Utah in early summer 2019. She is also in development on the feature Phoenix, and has just formed a production company with Katy Bettner called BetRed Stories.
Amy is also executive producing the series Talk by Andrea Buchanon, sold to SkyDance. Recently Amy Produced The feature Film Professor Marston and the Wonder Women. Amy directed and produced the music videos “I Am a Wolf You Are the Moon” by Craig Wedren, “Everyday people” and “Calling You” by the late Jeff Buckley for Sony music. Amy made her directorial debut with The Guitar, that had a theatrical release and did the festival circuit. She also shot a short film called DeLiVeRy with Ethan Suplee and Lukas Haas, and the short Tea For Three as a part of a Bloomingdales competition.
Her work in television includes Talk for Skydance, Aperture for HG TV starring Rosario Dawson, and Law & Order SVU: Shadows guest starring Sarah Paulson. As an actor Amy has recently starred in Runners, a short film with Rebecca Rittenhouse, she also starred in the feature film Hate Crime. Amy appeared in Sunshine Cleaning with Amy Adams; First Person Singular, directed by Sam Neave; The Understudy, directed by Hanna Davis and David Conolly. Her other films include: This Revolution with Rosario Dawson; Cry Funny Happy, Last Man Running, Maid In Manhattan directed by Wayne Wang; Strike the Tent, The Music Inside, When I Find the Ocean with Diane Ladd; and Giving it Up with Mark Feurstein.
Amy's theatre experience includes: Daisy Foote's Bhutan, (Cherry Lane Studio and Main Stage, New York Stage and Film); The Golden Ladder; The Messenger; Touch My Face; Stuck; Who Will Carry the Word; Hello and Goodbye; and The Shape of Things. Regional Includes: The Shape of Things (Canadian Premier at Cand Stage), Collected Stories, and Hello and Goodbye.
Ms. Redford also co-created Switch Track with Yael Farber and Darrill Rosen, developed at Mabou Mines and then the Sundance Playwrights Lab. She appeared in Rebecca Gilman's The Crowd You're in With and Karen Zacharias' The Book Club Play at the O’Neill Theatre Center.
She also directed Watersports at EST. Amy has worked at multiple premier theatre festivals and labs.
TV acting credits include: Law and Order: Criminal Intent, Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, The Sopranos, Sex and the City, Dellaventura and Wonderland. Ms. Redford did her postgraduate work at LAMDA, studied at ACT, The Actors Center, Circle Rep, CU, and earned her BA from SFSU and University of Colorado, Boulder. She is on the board of the Sundance Institute and the steering committee of the Opportunity Agenda.
She recently acted in a holiday video for ENCIRCLE, an Utah organization supporting LGBTQ+ youth, and she did a PSA for the Utah Film Society in support of independent cinema.
Amy and her siblings are actively involved in the Sundance Resort, and Sundance preserve in Utah.
